AUTHOR THOUGHTS: AN INVESTIGATOR’S JOURNAL

Dear Reader,

For nearly seven years, my world stopped. For nearly seven years, I’ve lived through an almost undercover investigation, that almost broke me. Almost! Truth is, I was found out a long time ago, and no one involved was pleased. “Pick a side!” That’s it! That’s all. There was no room for much else, and make no mistake, this was far from a structured investigation that upheld journalistic integrity, or integrity at all, for that matter. My methods were downright messy. #CancelKashJones worthy, if we’re being honest, and “Rookie” was an understatement for my level of professional expertise entering the world I stepped into.

There were a million moments, over the last few years, when I entertained the thought of the things I experienced simply being my God given karma, for perhaps, sticking my nose where it didn’t belong.

To date, I’ve been stalked, harassed, infiltrated, betrayed, hacked, illegally surveillanced, scammed, impersonated, slandered, physically violated, had attempts made on my life, amongst many other things, and ultimately, pushed to the edge of our very existence. It would have been ideal to publish this story 5 years ago, at the height of it all, yet for years, I have been targeted by forces that would stop at nothing to maintain my silence. Many parties stood to gain from my story never seeing the light of day, so they strategically kept me in the dark; fearful, confused, traumatized, in complete chaos, but most of all, distracted.

I was stripped of everything, traumatized into isolation, with even my son being targeted at school, attempts made on his life, forcing withdrawal and a lack of normalcy for his high school experience… years we can never get back. My cries for justice were muffled by my seemingly polished oppressors and their allies, who sneakily and heavily outnumbered me.

It’s evident I became a victim within my own investigation, but through it all, I survived, and with God, I became a survivor, found healing, but most importantly, He gave me the strength to stand up and finish what I started.

Now, as I prepare to release Behind The Mole, I’m ready to bear it all, the truth that was too dangerous to tell then, and the journey of reclaiming my life.
